Leonardo DiCaprio as a New York stockbroker

Leonardo Dicaprio Jordan Belfort is an American author and a stockbroker. His brokerage firm Stratton Oakmont was found to be involved in securities fraud . So he was indicted in 1998 and had to spend twenty-two months in jail.In addition to his  manipulative stock market crimes, he is also known for his bestselling memoirs, ‘The Wolf of Wall Street’ and ‘Catching the Wolf of Wall. Now a film entitled ‘The Wolf of Wall Street’ is being made by Red Granite Pictures. Its director is Martin Scorsese. Leonardo DiCaprio is playing the role of Jordon Belfort.

This role of a New York stockbroker will be another good addition to Leonardo DiCaprio’s portfolio as an actor. He has always performed diverse roles. He has won Golden Globe Award, Academy Award, Screen Actors Guild and many other awards for these varied roles. We have already seen him in the roles of a penniless artist, a president, Romeo and a gangster. Now, he is taking up a totally different role. In order to meet the challenges of this role of  a stockbroker, DiCaprio has done his homework. According to Huffington Post , the star and the co-star Jonah Hill have already done a lot of research about their  roles at the Bank of America. The reports say that in the film the main character refuses to be part of corruption at Wall Street. The story moves around fraud, corruption and white collar crimes and drug addiction. The production of the fil has started.  The film  is going to appear in cinemas in 2013. According to Screen Rant, ‘The Wolf of Wall Street’ marks the fifth collaboration between the headlining actor and fan-favorite director – with Gangs of New York (2002), The Aviator (2004), The Departed (2006), and Shutter Island (2010) making up the first four’. It remains to be seen how the director and the actors dramatize the bestselling memoirs.
